Of course not all case of anxiety or depression are due to workplace stress and phobias and fears play their part. Fears of dentist, driving, flying or heights, insect/spider phobias, insomnia can all be helped effectively with hypnotherapy, typically in no more than 3-5 sessions.
Addictions - Drink, Smoking, Food
All have a huge cost sometimes to both the person who has a problem with binge drinking, cannot give up cigarettes or is gaining an unhealthy amount of weight. If the problem is truly alcoholism then first port of call should be your GP who can refer you to specialist services before any hypnotherapy can be done. Smoking can be dealt with usually in one session. I offer hypnotic gastric band for overeating and to deal with incorrect diet e.g. chocolate.

Hypnosis was originally used in the treatment of pain and this can be helped to relieve or control pain levels and healing. It has been used in the past in treatment of wounds and burns in war situations and associated PTSD. Irritable Bowel Syndrome has yielded to hypnosis in research done at Manchester University by Prof. Peter Whorwell. Dental fear, pain and associated needle phobia is another common area for hypnotherapy application.
