At his Manchester Hypnotherapy practice, Nigel combines his in-depth psychotherapy skills with clinical hypnotherapy, NLP and counselling skills.
I first trained in NLP, then after completing training in clinical hypnotherapy, I opened the doors of my practice, Inner Changes, to clients at the start of 2002. Since then I have completed further training as an integrative psychotherapist, life coach and ecotherapist. I hold two Master Practitioner certifications in NLP; one gained from its creator, Dr. Richard Bandler, the second gained as part of my UKCP accredited psychotherapy training. I also hold numerous specialist certificates in working with addictions, treating insomnia and sleep disorders, working with IBS, anger management, stress management, human development, psychopathology and ethical practice. I have significant experience in working with a wide range of emotional, cognitive and behavioural issues. I am a fully accredited therapist for the UK national mental health charity Anxiety UK, which also means I hold enhanced CRB certification. In 2011 I also began seeing clients at a private psychotherapy clinic in Harley Street, London, although the mainstay of my clients are in Manchester. My most recent work involves expansion into the emerging field of Ecotherapy, which involves working with the natural world as part of the healing process. I run weekend Ecotherapy workshops in beautiful private woodland in North Wales, and also shorter sessions in countryside closer to Manchester.
